Karl and Tamara have been best friends since they met 14 years ago while attending graduate school in Boston. They married and moved into their first home together seven years ago. Karl works in sales, and Tamara owns her own business, working in the financial-services industry. They are hoping to welcome a Caucasian or biracial infant of either gender into their home. Their values include being active and spending lots of time outdoors, getting a good education, and emphasizing the importance of family.

They have many interests which they share together, such as hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, going to the beach, playing board games, traveling, going to baseball games, watching movies, and going out to dinner. These are just a few of the many activities that they look forward to sharing with a child some day.
