Dwayne has a beautiful smile and a likeable personality. He enjoys art, playing computer games, board games, bumper pool, skateboarding, biking, baseball, and basketball. He is a very free-hearted, sociable, and highly motivated individual.  Dwayne encourages himself to do well in all things and plans to try out for his school’s sports teams.

With a desire to please others, Dwayne has made great improvements in his ability to interact with peers and control his behaviors. In school, he is a student with an Individualized Education Plan to assist with learning and help manage his emotions. He requires help in reading and math but enjoys learning and puts forth strong efforts.

An adoptive family for Dwayne will need experience and understanding in parenting children who have experienced separation and loss.  They will need to provide devotion, advocacy, and ensure that his educational and emotional needs are met. Dwayne longs to have the commitment and stability offered in a permanent family.  He also wishes to continue contact with his older sister.
