For over 3,000 children awaiting adoption and for more than 10,000 children living in foster care in our state, the comfort and blessings of a loving family are only a distant dream. CHS began our work more than 107 years ago with the intention of helping children who find their families in crisis. We still do that today, but we also do much more – from providing therapy and support services for children and families to supporting and counseling birth mothers who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

Our organization has grown significantly in the numbers of clients we are serving and in the variety of services we offer foster and adoptive families. In order to support this growth, CHS is continually seeking new ways to connect individuals and organizations to our mission.
