The Vans Store at Four Seasons Town Centre Mall in Greensboro donated dozens of pairs of stylish active footwear to our SaySo youth to send them back to school. These were distributed at August events in Asheville, Kannapolis, and Raleigh.
One young man came to our event in Asheville with borrowed tennis shoes on and was able to leave with Vans on, smiling and saying he was ready for school since he now had his own shoes!
SaySo (Strong Able Youth Speaking Out) is a youth-led organization serving as the voice of youth in foster care and foster care alumni. Sayso informs youth about services and resources available to them, teaches them essential life skills, and empowers them to use their voice to impact the system in a positive manner.
