Austin

Austin is a handsome 12-year-old with a big imagination. He has been described as having a kind heart and funny personality. Austin loves animals; he enjoys dogs and wants a guinea pig. He loves playing with Legos, Army men, and is very interested in cars and motorcycles. Austin recently learned to ride his bike without training wheels, and he enjoys playing his Nintendo Switch and Minecraft on the computer. Austin’s favorite foods are fried chicken, corn dogs, carrots, and applesauce. His music of choice includes Michael Jackson and The Beatles.

Austin will need love, structure, consistency, and support from his forever family. The right family for Austin will need to be patient as he transitions into their home and understand how trauma impacts development. Austin should be the only child or the youngest child in the family’s home. Austin will need time to establish trust as he has been let down by adults in the past responsible for his care. Austin’s forever family will be strong advocates and work alongside his team to make sure all of his needs are met.

An ideal family for Austin would have realistic expectations for him and have a home with clear rules. Austin would like a family who is open to maintaining contact with his sisters as they share a special relationship. Austin’s forever family will also need to have a dog. In the right family, Austin will thrive!
