Most of us are probably familiar with the term “trauma-informed care,” and have had some training on trauma. But understanding how to apply this knowledge on a day-to-day basis is another thing altogether. How do you connect with children who struggle with attachment? How do you respond to behavior that is frustrating and seems to makes no sense? We invite you to join other CHS parents for this 9-week series focused on strengthening attachments, helping children (and ourselves) with self-regulation, and building competency.

Before registering we encourage you to check your schedule and consider your ability to make this time commitment. In order to receive credit, participants must be on camera and actively engaged in class activities. Also, due to safety and confidentiality concerns, we do not allow participation from work, while at school or sports events, or while driving. In the coming year, we’ll be offering additional classes of ARC Reflections during the day and on different days of the week  in order to provide busy parents with as many opportunities as possible to attend. Please let us know if you have a request for a class on a particular day or time, and we will consider that in future planning.

Please note: Parents who attend all 9 sessions as active participants, with cameras on, will receive a completion certificate and 18 hours of training credit. Parents who need to make up sessions are welcome to attend the missed class during the next series, and can register by contacting the trainer for the next series.

Class begins on January 11th  and the deadline to register is: December 31st
