Elizabeth City "Substance Abuse Awareness and Prevention"
May 21, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeWhen an individual has a drug or alcohol problem, it hurts the entire family. Substance abuse is a significant driver behind the increasing number of children entering foster care. Research also shows that children and teens who have experienced trauma are much more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs themselves.
This training addresses current substance use trends in North Carolina, how substance abuse in the family affects children, how to recognize the signs of substance abuse, and strategies for prevention.
