GAL District 29A “Maintaining Professional Boundaries” Webinar Presentation

May 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free

Those who choose to work with children and families in the child welfare system do so because of a desire to help. This interest in helping others can be an asset, and a risk factor. It is important to ensure healthy boundaries from the beginning of the client relationship, and quickly recognize if lines begin to get blurred. When boundaries between client and helper are not clearly defined, the consequences can range from burnout to ethical violations. Participants in this workshop will identify what is meant by healthy boundaries, evaluate their own strengths and needs in this area, and discuss how to maintain boundaries in their work.

Please RSVP by 5:00pm on 5/21. A webinar link will be emailed on 5/22.
