Nurturing Response – Connected Discipline

Nurturing Response – Connected Discipline – This is a training designed to teach effective and trauma-responsive discipline strategies through nurturing and connected responses. This interactive training will identify the needs behind difficult behaviors and discuss interventions that build attachment and connections.

Meet the Facilitator
Walter Johnson, Professional Trainer and Family Educator:
Walter Johnson, BA, brings over 15 years of experience working with fathers, children and families in the foster care system.
He is a NC Certified Parent Educator and an accredited provider of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program. Walter has had the opportunity to bring his passion for fatherhood to both human service professionals and family members as an educator working statewide under the Permanency Innovation Initiative in North Carolina. This initiative focuses on improving permanency outcomes for youth at risk of aging out of foster care.
Walter is a husband and father of three children, and currently resides in Greensboro.
