Nurturing Response-connected Discipline

Nurturing Response – Connected Discipline – This is a training designed to teach effective and trauma-responsive discipline strategies through nurturing and connected responses. This interactive training will identify the needs behind difficult behaviors and discuss interventions that build attachment and connections.

Meet the Facilitator 
Trudy Robinson, Professional Trainer and Family Educator:

Trudy A Robinson is a NC Certified Parent Educator with over 25 years of experience working with adults, youth, and families in a variety of human service settings.
Trudy joined Children’s Home Society in 2011 as a foster care specialist and transferred to the education division in 2013.  As part of the professional training team, Trudy provides permanency–focused training for professionals and community partners. As a parent educator, she provides educational support services to newly formed or reunited families.
Trudy enjoys teaching about the practice of “self-care while caring for others.”  As part of this work, she developed a compassion fatigue training series entitled “Maintaining the Capacity to Care.” Trudy received her Bachelor of Science in Education from East Carolina University and currently resides in Winterville, NC.
