More about Caring for Our Own: Children do better with family. However, raising a relative’s child is not the same as raising your own children. The goal of Caring for Our Own is to prepare kinship caregivers for the unique set of challenges, joys, and struggles they may encounter.
Through a series of ten online meetings, you will meet other kinship families and learn how to assess and build on the strengths and needs of the children in your care. You will also gain assistance and ideas for working in partnership with the helping network, the children, and birth parents.
