Helping Traumatized Children Learn

February 11, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Many children in the foster care system have experienced at least one type of trauma. Trauma symptoms can include refusing to go to school, getting into fights at school, and difficulty paying attention at school, to name a few. This can have an impact on a child’s learning, behavior, and relationships at home and at school. This training will focus on trauma, symptoms of trauma, ways to help children cope with trauma symptoms, and ways to improve academic and behavioral issues at school.

CE hours will be provided for attendance.
