Monroe "Understanding the Effects of Trauma"

Trauma is common in the histories of youth involved with the child welfare system, and it can impact every area of human development – physical, mental, behavioral and social. This introductory training on trauma will facilitate an understanding of the correlation between early brain development, childhood trauma, and behavior. Participants will gain a better understanding of the challenging behaviors they may encounter from individual youth, and the consequences of unresolved trauma for society at large.
