Morganton "Understanding the Effects of Trauma"

Trauma is common in the histories of youth involved with the child welfare system, and it can impact   every area of human development – physical,  mental, behavioral, social, spiritual. This introductory training on trauma begins with the 55-minute film Healing Neen, a powerful story of childhood trauma and transformation, followed by group discussion and   information on the connection between trauma, brain development, and behavior. Please note that this training contains difficult/disturbing content and is NOT appropriate for children.
Child care provided on a first come, first serve basis (limit 10 children). Please enter the ages of the children you will bringing on the RSVP form below.
