Engaging Fathers, Part 1:
An Introduction Child welfare professionals often find it much easier to engage the youth’s mother and the maternal side of the family. Due to an array of complicating factors, the father may not be involved in the youth’s life at all. Does it matter? The facilitator of this training will motivate participants to examine personal and professional beliefs regarding father involvement. This training is designed to help raise awareness about the importance of fathers, and the necessity of father-friendly practices.
