Together Facing the Challenge

Together Facing the Challenge (TFTC) – TFTC is an evidence-based therapeutic foster care curriculum that teaches foster parents how to build therapeutic relationships, teach cooperation skills, and implement effective parenting techniques (communicate effectively, set expectations, reinforce positive behavior, avoid power struggles, etc.). This course also teaches parents how to prepare youth for the future by teaching independent living skills and how to create a positive home environment through family fun time, taking care of self, and family meetings. This training is required for therapeutic foster parents and suggested for traditional foster parents.
