Wentworth "ACEs and Toxic Stress: Responding with Resilience" – Afternoon

August 3, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

The ACE Study has been called the most important public health study of our time. It is now understood that toxic stress and trauma wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at risk for poor outcomes. We can be much more effective in our work with these youth and their families if we understand how toxic stress impacts the brain and respond to their needs in a trauma-informed way. This training will introduce participants to the ACE Study and teach resilience strategies that can provide a buffer against toxic stress for children, parents, and professionals alike.
Location: Rockingham Community College, Advanced Technologies Building, Room 105
