Youth Driven Permanency
Research shows that youth are most invested in permanency efforts when they are active participants in the process. Facilitating and nurturing youth involvement means working from a strengths-based perspective and focusing on resilience rather than deficits. This training examines the latest research involving foster alumni, looks at strategies for cultivating resilience to improve outcomes, and considers age-appropriate ways to include youth in permanency planning.
