A family for Juliana

Thirteen-year-old Juliana had never known the comfort and stability of a permanent family, suffering severe neglect by those who were supposed to care for her. After more than three years in foster care, Juliana was brought to Children’s Home Society and began what would become a transforming relationship with her CHS social worker, Justin. They began to talk about adoption and what it could mean for her to have a safe and loving family. Juliana has great loyalty to her biological family so Justin and others have helped Juliana honor those connections while getting her prepared to join a new loving family. Juliana and her foster parent, Ms. Ramsey, worked through the trauma that accompanies a child’s loss of family.
This past May, Juliana was adopted by Ms. Ramsey, and today she is happy and healthy. She is excelling in school and athletics, participating on the cheerleading team and her church dance team. As many with a sweet tooth will understand, her favorite food is a Bojangles Bo-berry biscuit.
You can make life sweeter for children in your community like Juliana who need permanent, safe, and loving families by giving a gift to Children’s Home Society. Please consider making a gift today.
