Jerry

Jerry is a handsome 16-year-old. He describes himself as “smart, nice, and funny”. In Jerry’s spare time he likes to play video games and watch sports. Jerry enjoys football, basketball and sometimes tennis. His favorite football team is the Carolina Panthers. Jerry enjoys watching TV, coloring and rock climbing. Rap is Jerry’s favorite kind of music.

Jerry will need love, consistency, and support from his forever family. The right family for Jerry will need to facilitate a sense of connection with Jerry and understand how trauma impacts connection. Jerry is eager to find a permanent family and fill that sense of belonging. Time to establish trust as he has been let down by adults in the past responsible for his care will be very important. An ideal family for Jerry would have realistic expectations of a teenager and make sure that Jerry has the opportunity to participate in teenage activities.
