Fostering Our Community: Learn How to Become a Foster Parent (Hickory)

July 17, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Have you thought about fostering or adopting from foster care and have questions about the process?  We invite you to attend a no-obligation information meeting to learn more.

Cassandra Rising, Family Recruitment Specialist for Children’s Home Society of NC (Catawba/Unifour Area) will host an informational meeting at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library in Hickory for families who want to learn more about becoming a foster parent and how to help support the foster care community.

There are nearly 12,000 children in foster care across the state.  Join us as we discuss how you can be the family that provides a stable, safe, and loving home for a child or children when they need it most.

During our foster parent information session, attendees will learn about the foster care licensing process and timeline, steps to adopt a waiting child from foster care, and the needs of children experiencing foster care.

Whether you are at the beginning of your journey and simply researching, or ready to take that next step, everyone is invited to attend! We’re here to answer any questions you may have about becoming a foster parent.

This meeting is in-person at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library in Hickory, NC.

Registration is not required.
