She loves to make up her own songs and dances. At age 11, she is already tapping into her artistic side and creating her own jewelry. And like a lot of children her age, she has hopes, dreams and wants. But what sets this 11-year-old girl — and the many children served by the Children’s Home Society — apart from other girls and boys her age, is her needs.
This little girl needs a family. A permanent home for the many children, whose stories are featured here, is a tall order. But what these children are asking for is really very simple: They all just want a family who will love and care for them.
Our children are animal, nature and sports lovers. They have huge imaginations, a thirst for knowledge and a desire to belong. They are avid readers, dancers, musicians. They are future teachers and therapists and budding scientists. And in order to make their future dreams a reality, the youngsters served by the Children’s Home Society need love, support and a safe place to rest their heads at night.
