Sunshine 5K & Family Festival

Named to honor the first infant adopted through CHS, our “Sunshine” 5K & Family Festival celebrates the importance of family well-being while spreading the word of our mission, the needs of children and families, and ways to get involved.

Event Details & Schedule

This fun community event on June 8, 2024, will include a 5K walk/run, kids’ 100 yard dash, games, food trucks, music, and much more – all to benefit our community’s children and their families. This year’s race and festival will take place at Country Park. All festivities will start and finish at the Jaycee Park parking lot (3802 Jaycee Park Drive, Greensboro).

  1. How can I get friends involved and how can I help raise funds for children and families in our community?
    Once you register, you will have the option to create an individual or team fundraising page. You can share your page with family and friends to help raise funds.
  2. Is registration required for the kids’ 100 yard dash?
    No, participation in this fun race is free for children ages 3-10.
  3. Where do I park?
    Parking will be available in the Jaycee Park parking lot at 3802 Jaycee Park Drive. Parking is also available at other Country Park public access parking lots.
